Hey! Look, I get it...

I too have a love/hate relationship with network marketing.

And before I share anything else, I have a confession to make...

For the first 10 years of building a network marketing business, I used every sly, deceptive and unethical prospecting and recruiting tactic, script, cheese-ball line and strategy you could imagine.

Every caricature there is about a network marketer, I was it and far worse.

At the time… as far as I was concerned, the ends justified the means!

And I had built a team of over 30,000 distributors and was on top of the network marketing world.

If you had asked me at the time:

“Do you want to be right (authentic) or do you want to be rich?”

I clearly would have chosen ‘rich’.

Yet I had left a wake of personal collateral damage behind me…

  • I alienated and hurt loved ones 
  • ​I angered and/or deceived strangers - good people that didn’t deserve it
  • ​I angered distributors I sponsored who felt dishonored and manipulated
  • ​And my leaders or team members were doing the same to others as well, as they were just following what I did
  • ​And I didn’t care… at first...
I was a “Network Marketing Neanderthal” and while most of the profession operated this way as well, it started to eat away at me.

Here’s the inconvenient truth…

Others doing the same unauthentic things I did, didn’t make up for the fact that I contributed heavily to the distrust people have of our profession and the damage to its reputation.

Epiphanies That Changed the Game

About 10 years into my career, I was in the process of launching my own network marketing company and I started having a series of epiphanies which changed the game for me...

The first was that I really hungered for a new way of building in this profession.

The truth is... how I had built in the past weighed on me, despite the success I previously had, and I was open to something different.

I wanted to find a way that I could teach the distributors of my new company, which didn’t compromise their integrity, protected their relationships, protected the reputation of the profession and STILL helped them become wildly successful.

And that’s when I came across an audio book created by a prominent corporate sales consultant on a little known “new way” of selling, which inverted how selling was being done and was rapidly being adopted by thriving companies.

And I said to myself “This is it!

After coming across scientific behaviour studies, which confirmed the effectiveness of this new approach, I immediately implemented this with the distributors in my company.

We immediately saw a change in the quality of people our leaders and distributors were attracting. People with high ethics and successful professional backgrounds almost all of whom had never been involved in network marketing.

They were focused, loyal, fun and extremely growth oriented.

We created a CULTURE unlike anything I had seen in any company, which made me and so many others proud to be a part of our team, the movement and opportunity.

A Different Kind of Networker

The most gratifying thing that came out of building a thriving network marketing company with distributors worldwide were the countless stories of success and people making their dreams come true while:

  • Maintaining their integrity
  • ​Protecting their relationships
  • Leaving people feeling honored
  • And demonstrating to the entire profession that it could be done authentically.
PLUS it was A LOT easier to build in this way and took an enormous amount of pressure & stress off the distributor, because they were NOT being asked to do anything that was deceptive, unethical, annoying or obnoxious!

This was the beginning of a new authentic networker movement.

For the following 25 years, this has been how I’ve built teams and helped others do the same while working to undo the harm 70 years of short-sighted tactics, strategies, methods and advice have caused.

Since then, I’ve taught this philosophy, strategy and way of life to thousands of network marketers across the planet via live in-person events at my own company functions and those organized by other leaders, companies and organizations.
 
I didn’t have a program or anything available for public consumption on the subject. Just showed up in person and taught this new powerful and authentic way to whomever was there and open.

Then a few years ago, I was asked if I would be willing to host a virtual workshop teaching this to a global audience of change agents - network marketers that were fed up with being part of the problem.
